Hey Tweeps!
Guess what? We’re BACK! This week, and the next several weeks will be PACKED with some of our biggest contests yet. Are you excited? We are!
So why have we been gone for a while in the first place? Well, it’s a long story with a pretty simple shortened version: we ran out of money and time 
The idea behind Tweet-A-Prize! has always been that we would finance things ourselves until we got popular enough to make some decent wages by running our contests. Unfortunately, though, we ran out of money a little before we made it there. When we stopped about a month ago we were delivering 5,000+ click-throughs to our awesome sponsors’ websites, but it still wasn’t quite enough to get make things profitable.
But, with nearly 16,000 followers, and over five thousand clicks on our links every week, we are getting pretty darned close. We figure somewhere around the 30,000 follower range (or after about 3 more months of solid contests) we should be profitable. And so, we’re doing a little searching right now, trying to find some investors to pick up the tab in the meantime. Know anyone who might be interested? Tell them to shoot me an e-mail!
In the meantime, we’re going to kick out a few more awesome weeks of contests to prove our worth. Want to see Tweet-A-Prize! continue into a new generation of bigger contests, more interactivity, and (most of all) A LOT more prizes? Then enter the contests and spread the word!
